Privacy policy

This website is run by Shushrusha Ayurvedic & Panchakarma Hospital (SAP Hospital), B-Block Dev-atelier, 1227-28, 100 Feet Anand Nagar Road, Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad 380015, Gujarat, India. We are the data fiduciary for the information described on this page under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Consultation requests. When you use the “Request a consultation” form, you give us your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to add it) and a short description of what brings you to us. We use this only to reply to you and to arrange an appointment. Because your message may describe a health concern, we treat it as sensitive information.

Calls and messages you send us directly. If you phone, email or WhatsApp the clinic, we keep what you send us for as long as we need it to look after your enquiry or your care.

Nothing else. The site has no accounts, no newsletter and no advertising. We do not use analytics or tracking scripts.

The form does not store anything on this website or on a server of ours. When you press “Send via WhatsApp”, your browser opens WhatsApp with your details written into a message addressed to the clinic's number. Nothing is sent until you press send inside WhatsApp, and the message then travels through WhatsApp under WhatsApp's privacy policy.

We do not set cookies of our own. The map in the “Visit” section is provided by Google Maps, and loading it may set cookies from Google and share your IP address with Google. That is governed by Google's privacy policy. If you would rather not load the map, the address on the same page lets you find us without it.

The fonts used on this site are served from our own domain, so no request is made to a font provider.

We keep consultation requests and correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a patient, as part of your clinical record for the period required by Indian medical record-keeping rules. Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted within twelve months.

Only the clinic's physicians and reception staff see your enquiry. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the hospital unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• delete information we no longer need to keep by law;
• stop contacting you.

Write to saphospital@yahoo.com with the subject line “Privacy request” and we will reply within a working week. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Enquiries about a child's care should be made by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website.

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here for at least a month.
